Airbyte MCP

Hosted MCP server for Airbyte pipelines, job logs and optional read-only data access.

The MCP server is free for Airbyte users on every plan, including Core. Context-layer direct reads are described as Cloud and Enterprise Flex on the marketing pages, while the context-layer doc says all Airbyte Cloud organizations. Treat direct reads as Cloud or Flex only. Plan prices in dollars were not on the pricing page (Unknown).

Airbyte's launch blog calls the server open source. The repository was not confirmed, so open source is claimed, not verified.

Least access: connect a dedicated Airbyte user or application with the minimum workspace and role. For warehouse queries, use a read-only Snowflake or BigQuery role. Direct reads use each source connector's stored credentials, so give those connectors read-only credentials limited to the data agents should see.

Direct reads are read-only, skip connectors whose secrets live in an external secrets manager, and can show records the person could not see in the source. The context layer runs on Airbyte's cloud.
